2026 marks Year Five of The Invasion!
What started as a simple idea—a group of breeders coming together to host a fun, family-oriented sale in Texas—has grown into one of the premier events in the show pig industry.
Behind the scenes, Angie and Mari Horwath have worked tirelessly to build The Invasion into something special. What began as a side project also became Mari’s FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), helping her earn top honors in Texas and a place on the National FFA Convention stage as a Top 4 National Finalist.
The Invasion wouldn’t be what it is today without the breeders who believed in the vision from the very beginning. Industry leaders like Andy Forehand (Newcastle Genetics), Clint Halfmann (West Texas Genetics), and Russell Pedrett (Ottenwalter Showpigs) who helped shape the event into what it has become. Today this list is much longer with breeders from across the country coming together to make this sale as successful possible.
As a family-run sale, our mission has always been simple: put the kids first. We strive to create an atmosphere that’s welcoming, exciting, and fun for exhibitors and families alike. From the moment the pigs arrive until the final bid falls, our incredible Kid Crew is hard at work. They are some of the most dedicated young people in the industry, making sure every pig that steps onto the blue shavings is presented at its absolute best.
